Au menu d’aujourd’hui, un plat typiquement chinois, tellement chinois qu’on ne trouve pas de traduction pour le désigner : les jiaozi (tsiaotzeu).

On peut comparer les jiaozi à nos raviolis: de taille comparable, ce sont des petites poches de pâte fourrées de viande de porc, de boeuf, de mouton ou encore de volaille, mais on en trouve également fourrées aux légumes.
Pour les accompagner, pas de sauce bolognaise, mais un attirail de condiments : ail, vinaigre… tout ce qu’il y a de plus doux :)
En fait, après sondage auprès de moi-même et de mes connaissances, il semblerait qu’il soit assez difficile de différencier le contenu des jiaozi, ce qui donne le goût c’est justement l’accompagnement !

Pour nous à Minhang, nous pouvons certes en manger au réfectoire de l’université, mais nous préférons encore l’un des boui-boui en face de l’université, sur Dongchuan Lu. Entre nous, nous l’appelons “la jiaozi place”, comprenez l’endroit où aller pour manger des jiaozi :)

Marieke et moi y étions encore vendredi dernier. Alors j’en ai profité pour prendre quelques clichés. Ce soir-là en plus, nous sommes reconnues successivement par 2 chinois : ”Hé, mais j’ai déjà joué au basket avec vous”, diront les deux, on devrait s’en douter maintenant, les 3/4 des chinois que nous connaissons, c’est sur un terrain de basket que nous les avons rencontrés !

Nos jiaozi commandés, nous pouvons admirer, du coin de notre table, la préparation de notre dîner sur la table au fond de la salle.

Enfin les jiaozi sont servis, préparation de l’assaisonnement,… MANGEZ !

Pendant tout ce temps, nous avons taper la discut’ EN CHINOIS SVP avec Kevin (me souviens plus de son nom chinois), repas donc complètement chinois !

Vous aurez peut-être remarqué que tous ont gardé les manteaux, et oui dans les boui-boui de Dongchuan Lu, on mange bien et pour pas cher (1 à 2 €) mais on a froid !

Incroyable ! des fraises !

Et oui, aussi incroyable que cela puisse paraître, à Shanghai, en décembre on peut manger des fraises !


Au rayon fruits et légumes du Auchan à 5 min en vélo de chez moi, les barquettes de fraises n’attendaient que moi. Alors à 3,20 RMB (env. 0,32 €) la barquette de 200g de fraises bien rouges, je n’allais quand même pas les décevoir :)


Donc par hasard j’ai trouvé, par curiosité j’ai acheté, et par envie j’ai goûté !


Et bien aucun regret, et je dirais même une bonne surprise : de bonnes fraises parfumées et savoureuses, peut-être même meilleures que celles qu’on trouve en France en pleine saison…

Les prochaines que j’achèterai, ce ne sera pas un hasard si elles se trouvent sur mon chemin :)
